I’ve always liked to read a lot. Some people think that reading is boring, but I don’t. Actually, whenever I read it’s like traveling to a different time and reality, I get to imagine the whole scenery the way I want it to be.

That is a cool think when talking about books because two people can read the same book and imagine the story completely different.

I remember the time when I was just a little boy and my psychologist told me something I will never forget.

She said: “The characters, the environment, the colors…they are all a reflection of your emotions, if you are reading a book and feeling happy you will imagine something but if you are sad or even angry the whole scenery can change”.

When I heard that, I started to think of all the possibilities that a book can create in our minds because if a person can imagine in a totally different way just because of his or her emotions, imagine how many possibilities there are in each story.

Nowadays it is very common for the big Hollywood producers to transfer all the content written to the big screen. I enjoy movies but I think they have some disadvantages.

If you think about it, when you watch the movies you don’t get to explore your imagination due to the fact that everything is shown to you.

I have to acknowledge the fact that movies are very entertaining because they have all the visual effects and songs but I do think that they can make our minds a little bit lazy sometimes. I am not saying that movies have only disadvantages, it’s quite the opposite actually.

Movies have the capacity to join friends and family, you can have fun together, eat together, get goose bumps together and so on.

I don’t have the habit of both reading the book and watching the movie but my friends do and some of them have shared their opinions in regards to it.

Most of them got disappointed when they watched the movie after having read the book because they told me that the movies weren’t very rich in details.

That happens because in order to accommodate the whole plot in some hours, the producers have to extract and put what they think would portray the story the best. I have to say that I agree with my friends.
